Irving and Exy Johnson (Ginny inbetween), Lifetime Commodore and past editor Babe Baldwin and to the right is past President Carl Moesly with his lovely wife Jeanne Moesly who circumnavigated twice in two different boats. This was taken in 1983.

The Schooner Yankee(s), were both North Sea pilot schooners modified as a brigantine for the tradewinds. Yankee was an early bareboat taking paying passengers (except the cook) for a round the world cruise. Notable passenger was first mate and future actor Sterling Hayden (police chief God Father). In 30s the Yankee sailed the seas which were poorly charted visiting remote places and people.
